Information you give us
When you fill out forms or create an account on our website, we collect the details you submit to us. This includes information such as your name, email address, street address, telephone number, rank, career field and AFSC.
Information about how you use our services
We collect information about how you use our service, including details about how you study with our products. This may include data such as the record of your correct and incorrect answers, the amount of time you spend studying, your game high scores, your Final Exam history and any information you input into your study guide, such as study option preferences and study goals.
Information about your device and product
We collect information such as your device manufacturer, device OS, IP address and the standard data submitted by your browser in order to access the website. We also collect limited data about the state of your device, including whether it is connected to the internet.
Information collected by third parties
We employ some third-party tools in our apps and on our website to improve our service and assist in analyzing how our service is used. These third-party tools have access to data such as your device OS, manufacture and screen size in order to perform their tasks.
We also receive information from the Google Play Store and iTunes when you make a purchase from the app stores. This includes your username and/or device identification number and the fact that you made a purchase.
Information about your purchases
If you make a purchase on our website, we may collect information about the purchase. This could include payment information, such as your credit card number, account authentication information and contact information like your billing and shipping address. No credit card information is stored beyond the time required to process the purchase.
How we collect information
When you browse mcmguides.com or use our apps, we collect some information when you provide it to us, such as via an online form or communication with our Customer Care Team. We and third party companies also use some technologies, described below, to assist us in providing our services. Additionally, we may collect information while investigating user-reported problems with our website.
Any personal information is provided directly by you — for example, your email address when you submit a question, comment or concern. You provide more extensive information when you register, activate a product, study online or place an order. This information is provided via a secure server and is protected both on computers and in paper files. Any credit card information supplied is particularly safeguarded according to industry requirements and is not stored beyond the time required to process the purchase.
We only collect personal information that you choose to provide, and your IP address during product activation and online study. “Personal information” includes information that can identify you as a specific individual, such as your name or email address, and more.
Cookies and similar technologies
A cookie is a small piece of information, sent by a website, which is saved on your hard disk by your computer’s browser.
We use cookies to establish and maintain your account login, establish your identity, maintain your shopping cart information and look up your account information and user settings.
Email, mailing lists and other services
When you email us, we use your email address to thank you for your comment and reply to your question. We store your communication and our reply in case we correspond further. We do not share, sell, rent or lease it to any third party for commercial use.
When you request information, activate, register or place an order, we use your email address and any other information you give us to provide you with the information or service you requested, or the product you ordered.
We may use your email address to send you occasional notifications about new products, special offers, updates, corrections, etc. If you prefer not to receive such notices, simply let us know and we will remove your name from our mailings.
When you contact us through chat via LiveHelpNow, we collect information such as your name, email address and any details you choose to provide. LiveHelpNow collects additional information, which is governed under its privacy policy and can be found in the Appendix at the bottom of this page.
Analytics
We use third-party companies to provide analytics. These companies may use cookies and similar technologies to determine how you arrive on a page, how long you spend there and how you respond to the content. Analytics providers may combine the information they collect from our services with other information they collect from other sites and services. The practices of these third-party analytics providers are governed by their own privacy policies.
We also may permit our third-party partners to set cookies and similar technologies within our services to help us operate our business and collect information. McMillan Study Guides, Inc. uses firewalls and security measures at its physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information collected through our website. We provide certain choices and controls regarding the information we collect and how that information is used. These may include the ability to update or correct information that you have provided to us or that we have collected through your use of our service. They may also include the ability to opt out of receiving promotions, offers or other advertisement from us.
Information about children
Our services are not intended for use by children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect, use or share information from children under this age.
If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 16 years of age, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 16 years of age, please contact us.

McMillan Study Guides, Inc. takes privacy matters very seriously and intends to stay at the forefront of privacy policy and protection matters.
