How do I uninstall PDG GOLD from my Mac?


The Issue: PDG GOLD files install to two separate places, and they must be deleted from both in order to completely uninstall the program.

Affected Products:

Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Mac OS X 10.7 (Lion) 

Solution 1:

Solution for Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) 

Delete both the Application package and the PDG SNCO/NCO GOLD folder from the Preferences folder.

NOTE: This method of uninstallation will remove all TestMaker books that have not been backed up. If you wrote your own questions or made edits that you want to keep, make sure to Backup those books before completing these uninstallation instructions.

Make sure to deactivate your software before you uninstall in order to free up an activation for another computer.

  1. Open your Applications folder and drag the PDG SNCO/NCO GOLD icon to the trash.
  2. Open a Finder window and navigate to Macintosh HD: Users: username: Library: Preferences. Drag the "com.mcmguides.pdg.SNCO/NCO.2011" folder to the trash.



Solution 2:

Solution for Operating Systems: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard) Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) 

Delete both the Application package and the PDG SNCO/NCO GOLD folder from the Application Support folder.

NOTE: This method of uninstallation will remove all backed up and custom databases from your computer. If you wrote your own questions or made edits that you want to keep, make sure to copy those databases to another location before completing these uninstallation instructions.
